One of the best shows there is on TV (next to NCIS, of course), House MD has a cast of brilliant actors and is host to a great plot line.
House is on on Tuesday evenings from 8-9 pm Central Time. It's a very informative show, and anyone interested in medical shows mixed with some relationship complexities should watch this show.
The show in general, is about a doctor and his team who take medical cases that no one else can solve or don't make sense and try to make some sense out of it. Although only one patient (that I can remember) has died on the show, it is very technical and interesting to watch them wrack their brains to put everything together and figure the case out.
In the season finale, House's ex, Stacy, makes a break on the show. Rumor has it that she will be a long term character, but for Allison Cameron, one of House's "ducklings", that won't be so good. Cameron has liked House since she began working for him, and in recent episodes, he has explained to her that it just wouldn't work out, that he doesn't like her in that way. Doesn't like her period.
Robert Chase and Eric Foreman, House's other two ducklings, are characters in themselves. While Chase is arrogant in his ways, Foreman is also, but (in my opinion) is much more likable.
James Wilson, House's best (and only) friend, is the likeable comic releaf. While House is sarcastic and sardonic in his humor, Wilson is more friendly in his. He values his relationship with House and has a wandering eye, having gone through one wife and fighting through his relationship with his current.
Lisa Cuddy, the Dean of Medicine, owns Princeton-Plainsboro Teaching Hospital. She makes sure that House stays in line-at least, she attempts to. Cuddy is a very serious business woman, although she does have her moments.
Gregory House, the man of the show, is (as listed above) sarcastic, sardonic, not one to be polite, blunt, and cane-reliant. A blood clot in his leg caused "muscle death", and he now counts on his cane and his Vicodin to get him out of every hole. Although he won't admit it, everyone around him knows that House is a pill popping adict.
Overall, the show is a very interesting program, and it is easy to get lost in the medical terms and the science of it all. I give it 5 stars and more to come. I hope I have convinced you to at least try the show for yourself.

I just love this show. I think it is really good. I just love how House acts when he has to do Clinic Hours.
He does not suffer fools lightly. I just wish I had the nerve to say what he says sometimes.
Next year should be good with the ex around.

I can't recall the words exactly but in one of the episodes when House was trying to figure out how not to fire any of them he said he should grabe Camron's Ass, and use a Racial Slur agains Foreman, then there was a pause and he said he should also grabe Chase's ass. The look on Wilson's face was priceless. I wish I had the exact words.
The things that com out of his mouth are just so funny.

I know! His comments are so great. If you want to try figure it out, just go to google and type in House MD scripts. It'll give you the scripts for all the episodes. I love in the pilot the convorsation between Cameron and House:
Dr. Cameron: Why did you hire me?
Dr. Gregory House: Does it matter?
Dr. Cameron: Kind of hard to work for a guy who doesn't respect you.
Dr. Gregory House: Why?
Dr. Cameron: Is that rhetorical?
Dr. Gregory House: No, it just seems that way because you can't think of an answer. Does it make a difference what I think? I'm a jerk. The only thing that matters is what you think. Can you do the job?
Dr. Cameron: You hired a black guy because he had a juvenile record.
Dr. Gregory House: No, it wasn't a racial thing. I didn't see a black guy, I just saw a doctor with a juvenile record. I hired Chase 'cause his dad made a phone call. And I hired you because you are extremely pretty.
Dr. Cameron: You hired me to get into my pants?
Dr. Gregory House: I can't believe that that would shock you. It's also not what I said. No, I hired you because you look good. It's like having a nice piece of art in the lobby.
Dr. Cameron: I was at the top of my class!
Dr. Gregory House: But not the top.
Dr. Cameron: I did an internship at the Mayo Clinic!
Dr. Gregory House: You were a very good applicant.
Dr. Cameron: But not the best.
Dr. Gregory House: Would that upset you, really, to think that you were hired for some genetic gift of beauty instead of some genetic gift of intelligence?
Dr. Cameron: I worked very hard to get where I am!
Dr. Gregory House: You didn't have to. People choose the paths that gain them the greatest rewards for the least amount of effort. That's a law of nature, and you defied it. That's why I hired you. You could've married rich, you could've been a model, you could've just shown up and people would've given you stuff - lots of stuff - but you didn't. You worked your stunning little ass off.
Dr. Cameron: Am I supposed to be flattered?
Dr. Gregory House: Gorgeous women do not go to medical school... unless they are as damaged as they are beautiful. Were you abused by a family member?
Dr. Cameron: No!
Dr. Gregory House: Sexually assaulted?
Dr. Cameron: No! Dr. Gregory House: But you are damaged, aren't you?
IT'S SO GREAT!!!

And yes, I would love to see Chase get chewed out. When Darth Vogler said House couldn't fire him, I started yelling at my TV.

house just started in aus! yay! i luv it already, we're up to the third/fourth episode, one about a nun. i luv house's humour, he's so sarcastic, (which pretty much matches my sense of humour) and how he treats all his patients. I want to be a doctor, so i love all medical shows, but i reckon i'd watch this anyway!

We saw "Damned if you Do" (the one with the nun) a few weeks ago. It's a good one. I won't ruin the ending.
I'm so glad you like it! ;D And that you found this board! Hope to hear from you all in the future,
Katelynn
(PS. I'll be gone until Aug. 12, and even then I don't know if I'll make it on. TTYL!)

I've been catching up on House this summer. Kept meaning to watch it during the fall, but I'd watch NCIS at 7:30, then after that was over, I'd been doing an ep recap for the ml I'm on...and I'd forget House was on!
I do have to say I like Chase better than Foreman (um, anyone else catch that his name is the same as the guy on That '70s show: Eric Forman, spelt differently but said the same! ;D). It might have something to do with the accent.
In one ep he calls Chase British, Chase says he's Australian. "You've got the queen on your money, you're British!" Heh, here in Canada we've got the queen on some of our money...we must be British too!
I love House--he's just so blunt and speaks his mind...plus his sense of humour. I liek that he doesn't tend to back down either, I just saw the ep where Vogler wants to fire him. He stuck to his guns, even when Wilson got fired. How many of us would do that? So many of us would go and beg for our friend's job back...
Hoping to catch up on all the eps this summer!
Later
Stacy

Well, some parts of Canada speak French, so that'll work! I like Chase before Vogler, not after. The after effect can die.
I would love to have a doctor like House! I just got the DVD set and I'm watching it as I type! I'm so happy! Anyway, if I had a doctor like House, I would love to go to the doc! I'd probably get sick on purpose...
Anyway, can't wait for the 13th! New season ya'll! Cya soon!
